About our client

Our client is a leading provider of oilfield services.
Expanding its activities in Africa and more specifically in Nigeria, the company is looking to recruit a Financial Controller with a potential to grow with the activities.

Job description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for all of the financial, administrative, accounting, fiscal, and controlling and IT issues over the operations in Nigeria. Key accountabilities include:

- Supervising the administration of accounting and financial reporting,
- Ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, all accounts are reconciled on a regular basis and all audit requirements are met,
- Organizing the financial management of the operations and the future investments,
- Reviewing and filing tax matters in compliance with local, regional and national regulations,
- Maintaining a strong control environment to safeguard the company's assets,
- Reviewing and developing accounting processes,
- Providing support in commercial decisions and negotiations,

Who we are looking for

We seek a qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years in an audit or financial position in an international company. Expert knowledge of a major ERP system is required.
You must demonstrate strong business acumen with an ability to be financial partner to the operations management.
In addition, you convey confidence and composure and demonstrate your ability to work under time pressure and to meet deadlines.

The position is based in Port-Harcourt.
