Our client is an industrial group, with a strong presence in Africa. The company is one of the leaders in the food industry.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Industrial Director, the Senior Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Directing and managing project development from beginning to end,

- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management;

- Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents;

- Effectively communicating project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion;

- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals;

- Drafting and submitting budget proposals, and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary;

- Determining and assessing needs for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle;

- Proactively managing changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans;

- Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project team members and contractors and influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work...

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have an Engineering degree.
He/she will also possess at least 7 years of experience within a similar function with a focus on agro industry in infrastructures, mechanics, electrical and automation. He/she will have an ability to collaborate and effectively influence others in a positive way.
A previous experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is desirable.
Fluency in English is required.
