Our client is an industrial group, with a strong presence in Africa. The company is one of the leaders in the food industry.

Job description

The Senior Production manager will directly report to the Production Director. His/Her role is to plan, execute and deliver the production according to the company's demand strategy and within budget. Your responsibilities will include to:

- Direct and manage all production facilities on site,
- Define production plans and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management ,
- Develop efficiency and quality strategies and implementing them,
- Liaise with project management for the development of production facilities on an ongoing basis,
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary including the resources needed to achieve production.
- Manage production cost within budget including liaison with purchasing and other supporting functions.
- Develop and deliver management reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations.
- Coach, train, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have an Engineering degree.
He/she will also possess at least 7 years of experience within a similar function with a focus on agro industry in infrastructures, mechanics, electrical and automation. A proven track record in managing within a food or beverages business (especially dairy products) will be highly appreciated.
He/she will have an ability to collaborate and effectively influence others in a positive way with a capacity to work independently and flexibly.
A previous experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is desirable.
Fluency in English is required.
