Our client is an international mining company.

Job description

The Deputy General Manager is expected to assist the Country Manager to oversee the in-country activities to support the exploration, project and development activities in Congo. Other accountabilities include:

- Preparing progress and financial reports,
- Arranging logistical support for the drilling, sampling and analysis program in order to ensure timely completion of the Exploration Program,
-Assisting the Country Manager in representing the company externally with all interested parties - government, statutory / regulatory bodies and joint venture business parties - protecting the company's best interests and assets,
- Reviewing and approving all legal contracts with Government, contractors, suppliers, labour providers,
-Supervising the refund of VAT and other taxes,
-Evaluating and making recommendations on operational support, transportation and purchasing,
-Ensuring the proper implementation of Company policies, procedures and systems.

Who we are looking for

With a University degree in Finance, in Accounting or in Business Administration, you should have reached a level of experience where you had international exposure with management functions.
With strong communication skills both in French and in English, you are capable of delivering business performance improvement through a collaborative and teamwork driven culture.

Able to work in a multicultural environment, you'll possess fluent verbal and written English and French.
