About Our Client

Listed in London Stock Exchange, our client is a leading professional service multinational with well known brand name. They are consistently ranked as the 'best company to work for' by leading industry players and have a strong reputation for organic growth and market expansion. Sub Saharan Africa is their high growth region and they are looking to expand their market share even further. As a result, there is now a need for a high calibre individual to join its regional office in Mauritius as a Business Development Associate.

Job Description

Reporting to the Business Director, you will be in charge of driving all commercial and business development activities within a specific business unit. You will be tasked with market penetration by cold calling new clients and networking with senior contacts in the market. To assist your transition in the business, you will also be given a list of warm clients to maintain contact and you will need to ensure a deeper relationship is established on a periodic basis. You will also lead business meetings and perform a 360 role in fulfilling professional services and driving all operational matters with regards to client's obligations. On an ad hoc basis, you will perform strategic analytics to improve business performance and enhance market visibility.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally, you should have a Degree from a recognized university with 2 to 5 years of working experience in a professional setting. Prior sales experience will be beneficial but not critical to succeed in this role. You are a highly ambitious and driven individual with a results driven attitude. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface to senior internal and external stakeholders. You possess strong commercial acumen and is highly attuned to market trends and changes. Ability to work in a highly dynamic and stressful environment is needed.
