Job Description

Key performance areas include:

  • Generate Revenue by closing Corporate and Business Banking deals
  • Supply business units with innovative packaged solutions for re-use throughout organisation
  • Manage progress of deals with all stakeholders and drive processes towards deal closure
  • Drive towards achievement of core transactional banking NIR target for Corporate and Business banking divisions
  • Structure Solutions, Deals and Tenders/RFP's
  • Fully understand clients value chain and business requirements
  • Engage all internal / external stakeholders
  • Manage Risk and all Compliance criteria (including deadlines)Prepare high quality proposals/response
  • Submit and/or present proposals to customers
  • Obtain approval and sign-off from senior stakeholders (Business, Product, Pricing, Legal, Language, Marketing)
  • Identify the X Factor that will improve Nedbank's competitiveness
  • Innovatively structure business solutions based on clients unique requirements
  • Formulate & finalise value proposition or receive client request/RFP
  • Product development and client requirements
  • Understand competitor offerings
  • Engage internal and external vendors / stakeholders to identify opportunities
  • Understand current product offerings and perform gap analysis
  • Identify client and industry needs analysis and opportunities and present business case to key decision makers. (Client Requirements, Product Requirements)
  • Build Internal Relationships to obtain Stakeholder buy in
  • Strengthen and cultivate business relationships with key stakeholders that enables buy in to transactional banking business models and operational plans
  • Identify and influence key stakeholders for decision-making and sign off on pricing and strategic product development. (Synchronize stakeholders towards decision making)
  • Utilise relationships to obtain and/or disseminate business related information to ensure organisational wide utilisation of new business solutions
  • Initiate, develop and maintain purposeful internal business relationships
  • Mitigate Risk on deals and solutions
  • Ensure that all relative Business Solutions processes are followed and all relevant documentation is completed. (Client evaluation and requirements, product development / handover)Ensures all documents that reflect transaction intent are in place and signed off by all stakeholders
  • Monitor progress of deal implementation and ensure that risks are correctly managed
  • Identify and propose risk mitigation actions associated with deals and product development
  • Investigate feasibility of deals to ensure optimum utilisation of resources (decision based on high complexity and high revenue potential)+
