Our client is a leading media organisation based in Johannesburg with operations nationally.

Job Description

The ER Manager will be responsible for driving employee relations and diversity within the organisation and execute on the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and implement sound employee relations practices aligned to the applicable legislation
  • Ensure that proactive labour relations policies are in place and that they are consistently applied
  • Actively manage all stakeholder relationships through consultation and advising management with regards to policies and procedures
  • Monitor internal and extermal labour trends and communicate feedback to the HR team and sennior management
  • Manange all IR related training within the organisation
  • Support the business in the management of employee performance
  • Participate in adhoc HR projects

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the role of ER Manager should ideally possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A degree or diploma in HR or Labour Law
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in IR within a unionised environment
  • A sound understanding of SA labour legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
