About Our Client
Our client focuses on commodity chemical manufacturing for the agricultural, mining, manufacturing & construction sectors. This subsidiary operates in Africa, North & South America, Europe, ME, South East Asia & Australasia. They have approx 2,000 employees with a current growth projection of their R5bn p.a. turnover at 25% for 2017.
Our client provides customised, knowledge-based solutions through their Agriculture, Mining and Chemical divisions in order to develop and share knowledge that will equip the customer to increase yields.
To plan, design and implement an overall financial risk management process and operating strategy for the organisation thus keeping the legal and ethical integrity of the organisation intact.
To manage financial risk assessments, including analysing risks, as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business.
To manage the result of the compared business data received from internal and external stakeholders over time in order to identify any consistent results or trends in order to develop and implement policies and procedures to respond to these trends in line with your company goals and monitor implementation of those procedures in the business.
To manage and assess financial risk evaluation to ensure organisational compliance on all applicable legal and statutory requirements.
To establishing and quantifying the organisation's 'financial risk appetite', i.e. the level of risk they are prepared to accept.
To manage corporate governance involving external and internal risk reporting to stakeholders.
To manage the audits finding of policies and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
To provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation.
To remain informed of the dynamic changes that occur within the business community and make the best risk mitigation method decisions based on the changes.
To participate in forums, risk management educational programs and other opportunities to stay abreast of emerging issues affecting business operational risks.
The Successful Applicant
Law and Government - Advanced legal and statutory knowledge (E) Basis knowledge of government regulations and the democratic political environment (D) Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources (D) Enterprise risk; corporate governance; regulatory and operational risk; business continuity; information and security risk; technology risk; market and credit risk (E) Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations (E) Project Management (D) Knowledge of various accounting frameworks (IFRS, GAAP) (E)
