Job Description

-Produce reports: Report accurate and insightful Credit MI to internal and external stakeholders in the form of appropriate consolidated reports to facilitate the effective monitoring and management of the Group Credit portfolio. Continually enhance the scope, format and content of reports to meet the changing needs of the users/audience. Align all internal and external content across reports produced by RVA, GCPM, GCRM and ERM.

-Manage work: Achieve results in a team environment.

-Manage processes: Ensure that timelines are communicated and met; activities and deliverables are actively managed. Continually enhance processes around coordinating, compiling, consolidating and submitting data reports.

-Drive strategy: Drive strategic effectiveness of reporting and continually enhance the scope, format and content of reports and efficiency reporting processes.

Manage data and Information: Gather and accurately consolidate various forms and levels of credit data from varied sources throughout the organization and from the market/industry (all relevant internal and external sources). Facilitate effective use of data sources and reporting tools. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and anomalies. Continually enhance data processes and coordinate the automation of manual data sources. Coordinate the submissions of RVA, GCPM and GCRM to ensure that internal and external reporting timelines are met. Review SARB publications, DCC, BUCC, CRAM and other relevant internal and external information to support high quality credit management information (MI). Maintain electronic archives for all documentation relating to reports produced. Address all requests for information from internal and external shareholders.

-Perform analysis: Provide high quality, independent and objective and quantative analysis of credit data. Investigate and explain discrepancies or anomalies in results. Monitor and evaluate and report trends in the credit quality and credit risk profile of the group portfolio, the peer group and the market. Continually enhance the scope and depth analysis performed to provide value adding credit MI. Perform investigations of the credit portfolios to address ad hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders.

-Facilitate governance: perform oversight of reports in terms of adherence to Group Credit Policy and Procedure and regulatory requirements.

-Build relationships: Manage, maintain and improve relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

-Promote development and learning: Take ownership of your role and personal development to cultivate a deeper understanding of the local and international credit environment that affects the group portfolio.
