About Our Client

The Head: Global Markets Operations - FX & MM Outsourced Processing is required to manage the operations functions that provide a consistent and efficient operational processing service to the Global Markets trading business of ICBC Leading SA Bank located in London.

Job Description

Efficient GMO Operations

  • Manage the daily operations of all processes and functions performed by GMO-OP for FX & MM Processing
  • Monitor and control all processes via management structure and control dashboards to ensure that processes efficiently deliver required services.
  • Drive the continued improvement of the operational processes using all available CI tools and techniques.
  • Ensure efficient delivery within the cost and budget allocations.
  • Ensure charge out methodology for FX & MM Processing services is correct.

Control Framework

  • Manage the review and adjustment of the KRI (Key Risk Indicator) framework to ensure that KRIs are measureable, thresholds are valid and relevant, and that the KRIs are monitored on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage the interactions with ICBC Leading SA Banks Operations Control to ensure that reporting is efficient, a good relationship exists and that a strong control environment is maintained.
  • Along with ICBC Leading SABank's Operations Control, manage the reporting and resolution of issues with the Operations Risk function.

People Management

  • Foster an effective, pleasant working environment and ensure high levels of staff satisfactions.
  • Ensure that the various HR initiatives are well supported and that the following are completed:-
  • Talent management effectively performed with succession planning at the relevant levels;
  • Enterprise Performance Management is consistently applied;

Service Management

  • Adopt and manage the required service management framework and related service relationships based on SLA / OLAs that have been signed off.
  • Manage the service of GMO-OP FX & MM Processing ensuring the profile of outsourced services is correct, the understanding of issues is accurate and consistent and high level service is provided.

  • Balancing regional business expectations with Operational realities

Decision making

Effective decision making will be required in the resolution of issues arising in the day to day team activities, the identification of improvements to all processes and the implementation of any required system or process changes.
