Job Description

  • The SC business partner will be responsible for all indirect spend for the region, focusing on Services, Facilities and Materials for non-production spend.
  • Categories will include, HR, Finance, Marketing, Telecoms, Building Management, Cleaning Services, MRO, CAPEX, Travel Management, Stationary etc.
  • The incumbent will be required to manage local internal stakeholders to support the sourcing teams in implementing global sourcing strategies in order to leverage purchasing power of the organisation and develop cost saving methodologies.
  • Using E-Procurement develop E-sourcing techniques for Preferential Procurement.
  • Manage the purchasing function to ensure that it works according to guidance of the regional category leader.
  • The candidate will coordinate supply chain management country specific topics such as coordinating audits, training, system changes and toll implementations.
  • Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships with other internal functions such as, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance and Legal Departments.

Further the Country Supply Chain Business Partner will be responsible for:

  • Target achievement according to the operational dashboard.
  • Implement supply chain management initiatives locally such as process improvements and tool implementation.
  • Support selection of team and category leaders.
  • Implement preferential BBBEE sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure local buy-in from internal clients with regard to the sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure local requirements are included in RFQ's and communicate results of RFQ's to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate audit activities on behalf of supply chain management.

Ensure local process compliance towards supplier management instructions and procedures

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a South African citizen with a strong strategic procurement background, extensive know-how in supplier management;

He/she will have excellent communication skills and experience within supply chain management;

Ideally the successful candidate will come from the procurement background with procurement and strategy design and implementation experience;

Experience in SAP or equitable ERP system is critical to the role;

Professional e-sourcing background would be beneficial for the position;

The candidate must have experience from a multinational organisation;

Strong personal values & principles aligned with group business practices;

Team player with strong leadership, proactive, self-starting & taking initiatives with strong sense of responsibility, ownership & urgency.
