Our client is a leading packaging organisation with their head office based in South Africa

Job Description

As the Key Account Manager - Africa, based in Johannesburg, South Africa you will have the following responsibilities:

 Maintain and build key relationships with customers in countries products are exported to .

 Managing existing customer relationships.

 Develop and maximise new relationships.

 Ability to work as part of a team.

 Coordinating commercial and logistical aspects related to the above customers.

 The Key Account Manager - Africa must represent the interest of the customer within the company and the interest of the company when dealing with the customer.

 Maximise sales and profitability by ensuring that correct pricing levels are achieved.

 The candidate will be based in Johannesburg but will be expected to travel as and when required.

 The ability to travel internationally at times for extended periods will be a requirement of the position - 50%

The Successful Applicant

As the successful Key Account Manager - Africa you will have the following attributes:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience with experience in New Business Development
  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Packaging background
  • Must be willing to travel into Africa (50% travel). You will be required to travel at short notice and potentially extended periods (no longer than a week)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to all levels
  • French speaking would be advantageous
  • Africa exposure
