Job Description

The successful Manager: Program Office will carry out the following duties:

  • Accomplishes work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching employees.

  • Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.

  • Meets cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Track projects against agreed time lines.

  • Develop tools, policies and procedures as required to ensure project outcomes.

  • Support Senior Executives with analyses on planned projects to ensure sound execution and optimal follow though by stakeholders.

  • Collating reports on on insights and data around projects, business plans and forecasts.
  • As Manager: Program Office, report directly to CFO.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the role of Manager:Program Office will possess the following traits and background:

  • Analytic
  • Proactive
  • Out of the box thinker - provide new solutions versus
  • Strong numeracy/finance skills
  • 2-3 years at a top tier management consulting firm operating in the manufacturing and production space or at an internal strategy department with a large manufacturer
  • BCom, BTech or Engineering Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration
  • MBA or PMBOK is as an added advantage
  • Ability to deal with C level stakeholders
  • Capable of multitasking in a fast paced environment
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in project management
