About Our Client
Our client is a leading organisation specialising in agricultural products.
As the National Retail Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Determine the regional, national and market potential of the organisations range of products.
- Develop and implement a marketing plan and sales strategy for the products, identify priority products and projected market share, and arranges for the listing of such products where applicable.
- Annually submits national sales objectives by product.
- Monitor the sales performance of the products on an ongoing basis. Review and update sales projections and stock requirements as and when required.
- Supervise and monitor the implementation of the marketing plan and sales strategy, making adjustments as and when required.
- Liaises with the International Sales Department to align the sales and product strategy between countries.
- Annually submits a financial budget and monitors and controls such sales expenses, motivating adjustments as and when required.
- Liaises with and visits Key Accounts personnel regularly at national level, and by arrangement with regional management at regional level in order to build excellent client relationships and to develop appropriate strategies for these accounts.
- Determines national promotion and advertising needs of the products and formulates and implements an effective product support programme.
- Motivates and supports team maintaining a high morale at all times.
The Successful Applicant
As the National Retail Sales Manager, you will have the following attributes:
Strong Retail / FMCG background (Home and Garden channel is advantageous)
Degree / 3 Year Diploma Qualified
Minimum 5 years leading a team nationally
Must be willing to travel nationally and into Africa. (90% South Africa / 10% Africa)
Ability to develop and implement strategy.
Ability to adapt to all levels, strong business ethics and culture fit
Have strong finance skills - The National Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for their P&L
