Job Description

The role of the Payroll Manager entails the following:

  • Process monthly payroll and expatriate's salaries accurately
  • Ensure that the salary control account is reconciled with the payroll payments for the month
  • Participate in Ad Hoc HR projects
  • Reconcile bank recons and follow up on all outstanding items
  • Ensure that the payroll balances to SAP
  • Ensure that the Creditors are accurately paid on time
  • Ensure that the Corporate Cards are administered timeously
  • Check the year-end tax figures in conjunction with AXIA
  • Administer the Munich Re of Africa Short Term Insurance Staff Scheme other employee benefits
  • Administer the Pension fund
  • Onboarding of new employees
  • Monthly HR statistical reporting
  • Administration of the electronic Leave system and providing quarterly leave accruals
  • Providing a quality customer experience to all employees

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Manager role should possess the following:

  • HR Degree / National Diploma in Payroll or related studies
  • Maths and Accounting subjects
  • 5 years Payroll experience
  • SAP accounting exposure and reconciliation of salaries accounts preferable
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Accounting experience
  • Expat salary management experience essential
