About Our Client

Our client is a European beverage company that has a presence in Africa since more than 50 years. They are expanding their operations in existing countries and will potentially look at new acquisitions in East Africa.

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager (based in Kigali) and to the International Sales Director (based in Europe), you will be in charge of:

-Developing, proposing and implementing Route-to-Market and Trade Marketing Strategies

-Ensuring a distribution chain classification reflecting as well the RTM strategy as the Trade Marketing Strategy

- Ensuring that the field force activities for each visit cycle are planned and well prepared through the cycle planning process

- Ensuring that the sales department is effectively and efficiently organized with clear roles and responsibilities optimizing the human resources available

- Developing and coaching direct reports to ensure talented individuals feel motivated and are able to progress

- Developing sales skills and competencies within the sales team as well as develop awareness and understanding of trade marketing principles amongst all employees.

-Managing budgets and assets of the sales department to ensure that brand marketing resources are secure and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

The Successful Applicant

To qualify for this role, you must:

- be part of a Management Team,

- demonstrate great Leadership skills managing a large Team (at least 25 people),

- have Route to Market expertise in an African context,

- have hands-on experience of managing Distributors and developing a market,

- have Trade Marketing and Events experience ideally in the Beer/Beverage market,

- have been an Expat (at least once),

- speak French (must have), English is a plus.

Our client will provide a base salary plus bonus. In addition, you will have full expat conditions: housing, schooling, flights, car, etc.
