Job Description

Key Result Areas

Audit Services:

Delivers multiple audit assignments in time in accordance with GIA methodology and agreed quality standards.

Drafts evolving audit opinion and updates Audit Risk and Compliance Committee report control.

Engages with business unit process owners to agree audit scope and deliveries (incl. risk assessment and control workshops and adequacy assessments).

Gains and applies extensive industry knowledge within area of expertise.

Manages administers and executes audits in relation to a portfolio of clients through staff supervised for periods of up to a year.

Provides independent opinion on risk and control environment in specific business unit or process.

Reviews and issues final audit report in relation to work.

Team Effectiveness:

Balances own priorities with directing and motivating others.

Creates a climate for optimal performance.

Guides and directs staff to achieve operational excellence standards.

Individually accountable for staff time tasks and output quality over periods of 3 months to a year.

Manages between one and twenty-four staff within area of responsibility including performance contracts and budgets.

Plans and assigns work over periods of 3 months to a year.

Selects potential staff to sustain customer/client service delivery.

The Successful Applicant

- 8-10 years Internal Audit experience within the financial services industry
- 4-5 years managerial experience
- CIA preferred, however other relevant tertiary qualification acceptable

This will not be a vanilla internal audit role. Our client seeks candidates that are able to cope and manage change in an organisation as they will help shape its future. The candidate would need to be able to identify control gaps and find solutions and implement them for the above respectively. Mitigating future legislative requirements would also be a key focus in this role.

What's on Offer

Market related salary in the ranges of R620,000 - R1,020,000 + Company & Personal Performance Bonus + Share sign-on (optional, not guaranteed)
