Our client enjoys an international reputation as a prominent service company in the upstream sector (drilling and production) and it's one of the world leader in this field. As part of its strong growth in Nigeria, our client is seeking its Country Manager.

Job description
Reporting to the West Africa district Manager, the Country Manager will:

- Develop the activity of the company by defining and guaranteeing the commercial functions in terms of turnover, margins, profitability and return on investments.
- Be the strategic decision maker compassing the future development
- Preserve existing client portfolio and actively develop new business opportunities,
- Generate new commercial opportunities, visit prospects and clients regularly to understand their expectations and needs and to propose personalized solutions.
- Engage in competitors' analysis
- Manage training and recruitment of new staff.
- Implement and follow HSEQ policies as well as the emergency and the medical evacuation plans and in house safety procedures
- Able to operate in fast changing environment and complicated requirements
- Maintain a professional relationship with unions, communities and the local government.
- Provide reports to the head-office.

*Reportant directement au responsable de la zone Afrique de l'Ouest, le(la) directeur(trice) pays aura pour principale mission de :

- Développer l'activité de la compagnie en définissant et en guarantissant les réalisations commerciales en terme de Chiffres d'Affaires, de marges, de profitabilités et de retours sur investissement.
- Participer aux décisons stratégiques soutenant le développement future.
- Préserver de bonnes relations avec les clients existants et de développer de nouvelles opportunités d'affaires.
- Génerer de nouvelles opportuinités commerciales, rendre visite régulièrement aux clients et prospects, et estimer leurs attentes et besoins.
- Savoir manager des equipes, mettre en place des formations,
- Mettre en place et suivre les politiques QHSE ainsi que les plans
d'urgences (plans d'évacuation médicale et de sécurité) et du contrôle interne.
- Etre capable de s'adapter à un environnement changeant rapidement et faire face à des exigences complexes.
- Maintenir un relationnel professionnel avec les syndicats, les communautés et le local.

Who we are looking for
Prospective candidates will ideally have a technical engineer diploma with a finance background.
Minimum 5 years experience in the industry sector, including financial and management position. Ability to manage the commercial development.

*De formation ingénieur, le candidat aura idéalement 5 ans d'expérience professionnelle minimum dans un secteur manufacturier ou de services industriels et saura construire son leadership par le développement commercial. Il/elle possédera une bonne pratique de l'encadrement d'équipe ainsi que de bonnes connaissances en gestion.
L'anglais courant est impératif pour ce poste et une expérience en pays émergents est indispensable.
