About our client
Our client is a world leader in the Oil & Gas industry.
Reinforcing its activities in Algeria through its operations and its exploration prospects, the company is looking to recruit a Deputy Country Manager.

Job description
Assisting and reporting to the Country Manager, the Deputy Country Manager will oversee the development of the operations and the day to day management of the affiliate. Key responsibilities will include:

- Developing, proposing and implementing business development strategy,

- Representing the company externally with all interested parties - government, statutory / regulatory bodies and joint venture business parties - protecting the company's best interests and assets,

- Supervising the construction of infrastructures and installations,

- Providing guidance on key commercial matters,

- Controlling all third parties and representing the best interest of BG, in line with budget and legal requirements,

- Leading, motivating, and developing employees ensuring the necessary (human) resources are available to deliver annual plans, protecting employee and employer interests to the highest standards and legal requirements and with satisfactory HSEC performance

Who we are looking for
With a University degree in Engineering or in Business Administration, you should have reached a level of management experience where you had international exposure with general Management functions in Algeria.

You must be qualified to negotiate at high-level and to manage a vast and, if not complex, at least highly diversified industrial or Oil & Gas operations.

Able to work in a multicultural environment, you'll possess fluent verbal and written English, French and Arabic language skills.
