About our client
Our client is a global engineering consultancy (more than 200 offices in 77 countries), independent certification body and third party inspector, operating in the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors. To deliver the ambitious growth plans within the Middle East and Africa region, we are looking for a strong Regional HR Manager.
Job description
Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful and consistent implementation of the Global HR strategy within the MEA business.
Key accountabilities include:
- Developing the appropriate HR people plan for the Middle East and Africa region, which reflects the challenges and opportunities within each country/ business unit;
- Managing the HR budget for the region, controlling operating costs and driving value for the business;
- Creating and implementing HR policies, procedures and projects - e.g. succession planning, retention strategy, etc.
- Working closely with the Global HR team to manage recruitment and development;
- Attending monthly business review meetings and represent the HR team by providing updates as well as focusing on the people agenda for the Region;
- Reporting to the Region and Centre on specific HR related KPIs and providing recommendations where appropriate;
- Ensuring compliance with local employment legislation and corporate standards
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate should be of graduate caliber with at least 5 years generalist HR experience in an Industrial - B to B environment.
He will also have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience delivering HR solutions within the MEA region;
- Strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills;
- HR generalist with particular focus on implementing and managing key HR processes; eg, Resourcing, Employee Relations
- Good team worker and motivator;
- Experienced in working in across regions in a global business including virtual teams
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage, develop, monitor and interpret commercial indicators and KPIs/ people performance data;
- Strong command of English (written and spoken) is essential , the knowledge of other languages will be and advantage.
