Job Description
The Programme Officer - West Africa (Health Sector) will represent the company in the region and be responsible for:
- Successful implementation of the programme alongside the NGO partner(s) across selected West African countries.
- Working with all stakeholders to support capacity and capability building activities in the countries of implementation.
- Providing leadership through mentorship and coaching, guidance and support to NGO partners on all activities being delivered on the ground
- Key Accountability:
- Delivery of a successful programme/s in partnership with Governments and the NGO partner(s) in country:
- Ensuring the programme strategy is aligned with country and programme needs to maximise
effectiveness and impact - Ensuring NGO partners deliver on KPI's
- Conducting regular reviews with guidance and support on programme deliverable with all NGO partners
- Supporting the partners towards effective and efficient programme delivery, all within required governance
and compliance standards.

- Establishing stakeholder relationships to ensure long term sustainability of the programme - NGO partners
- Providing training, mentorship and coaching,guidance and support to NGO partners as required and
prioritised by the programme - Providing leadership and assurance that programme activities are delivered in line with the company's governance and compliance requirements
- Analysis and verification of programme data.
- Regular updates to broader Access to Health care team on programme developments/achievements.
- Maintenance of administrative systems
The Successful Applicant
In order to apply for the Programme Officer - West Africa (Health Sector) role, you need to have the following:
- Must be a resident or retain a residence permit in West Africa
- Demonstrate experience and understanding of the West African Health care systems
- Be fluent in written and spoken English & French.
- Have at least 3 years pharmaceutical or health care industry experience.
- Must have previous access programme setup and/or implementation experience
- A tertiary qualification in Science or Public Health is a requirement
- Ability to mentor, coach and provide guidance to external stakeholders including senior leaders/management.
