The Oxfam International Secretariat is currently headquartered in Nairobi, with offices in Oxford, Washington DC, New York, Brussels, Geneva, and a liaison office with the Africa Union in Addis Ababa.
You will need a deep experience of safeguarding issues and practice, including child protection, gender-based violence, investigating serious cases of abuse, ideally across a range of contexts including developing or fragile countries. With leadership experience within an international NGO, a complex large NGO, a ministry or other similar organisation working with vulnerable communities, you will display a proven track record in managing and conducting serious case incidents in Safeguarding (including Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, and abuse of children) or similar discipline.
The Successful Applicant
You will have strong interpersonal, negotiation and diplomacy skills and the ability to influence and bring people on-board, along, with a proven track record in strengthening organisational capacity in investigations and case management. With a proven ability to deliver results against demanding timetables and in the face of competing priorities, you will be comfortable working in challenging international environments.
