About Our Client

Our client is a Supplier & Exporter Of Food Products in the FMCG sector.

Job Description

The main purpose of this role to drive the Sales for a specific portfolio/category around West Africa. The role is challenging as this category seems to be a stagnant category and seeing a lot of pressure due to the COVID led economic challenges. The incumbent needs to work with the existing customers and seek out incremental business by engaging new distributors and end customers, across different cities.

Key outputs

  • Drive sales for the category in Ghana and surrounding markets
  • Own the relationship with all major customers
  • To direct, manage, and co-ordinate the activities and operations in the areas of Sales in line with company objectives.
  • To understand the market, to identify trends and movements in project, competitors, pricing, products, end-users, etc.
  • To develop and implement the commercial strategy of the company
  • To work with the Line Manager and identify the communication plan for the brand and manage implementation
  • To prepare, implement and control the annual sales action's plan
  • To optimise current level of customer service & satisfaction to all our partners
  • To develop and implement new services, or standards of services.
  • To communicate sales forecast of current and new products to the stakeholders.
  • Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts



The Successful Applicant

The successful B2C Sales Manager - FMCG Food should have the following:

  • 5-7 years of experience in FMCG Sales
  • Preferably some experience in consumables
  • Customer focused
  • Independent, driven and a self-starter
  • Passionate:
  • Strong leadership skills with a drive to make things happen and achieve results
  • Pragmatic, action oriented, problem solver in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Can-do attitude
  • Responsible & Respect:

  • Be able to quickly determine long-term issues, problems and opportunities and communicate them to key internal contacts.
