Job Description

Our client, a leading player in the industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced BDM - Francophone Africa Region to lead their expansion efforts within the Francophone Africa region. This role is pivotal in driving sales and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Smart Card, payment industry, banking sector, and governmental ID card business.

The Successful Applicant

BDM - Francophone Africa Region Key Responsibilities:



  • Market Analysis & Sales Planning:
    • Analyze market trends and results within the Smart Card supply, payment industry, banking sector, and ID cards business for governmental space to inform decision-making.
    • Implement strategic sales plans tailored to the Francophone Africa region.


  • Sales Expertise & EMV Knowledge:
    • Demonstrate expertise in the EMV ecosystem during sales activities and business development initiatives.
    • Initiate and extend relationships with authorities and institutions for Smart Card sales and local payment scheme certification.


  • Business Development & Relationship Management:
    • Identify new business opportunities and expand operations in existing and new markets within Francophone Africa.
    • Offer innovative Smart Card solutions and payment products through effective cross-selling and up-selling techniques.
    • Define and manage a pipeline of new opportunities for business growth within the region.



Expectations:



  • Execution & Profitability:
    • Execute the agreed business plan focusing on Smart Card production, payment product sales, and profitability within the Francophone Africa region, particularly targeting the banking sector.
    • Adhere to the annual operational expenditure (OPEX) budget while pursuing growth opportunities.


  • Customer & Project Management:
    • Provide expert advice on customer projects and opportunities within the Smart Card production, payment industry, and banking sector.
    • Identify and capitalize on additional business opportunities within these sectors.


  • Networking & Partnerships:
    • Establish a robust network of alliances and partnerships within the Smart Card, ID Card, payment industry, and banking sector to support business strategies.


  • Market Monitoring & Positioning:
    • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to effectively position our client's products and services.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for product and service enhancements based on market research.



Qualifications:



  • Residency:
    • Must be a resident of a Francophone African country (e.g., DR Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Senegal, Togo).


  • Language Skills:
    • Native French speaker with proficiency in English for global business communications.


  • Sales Experience:
    • Extensive experience in the payment industry, banking, and card business environment.
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with C-Level executives and operational staff within financial institutions.
