Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in revenue generation, brand visibility, and long-term client partnerships.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and executing a targeted MICE and DMC sales strategy to attract high-value corporate and incentive business from local and international markets
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agencies and DMC partners
  • Collaborating closely with events, F&B and operations teams to design and sell bespoke experiences, including tailor‑made itineraries and luxury activities
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing and packages to optimise revenue and profitability while protecting brand standards
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the MICE and luxury travel sectors
  • Overseeing the end‑to‑end execution of events, ensuring delivery aligns with five‑star service expectations
  • Representing the hotel at trade shows, networking events and industry forums, locally and internationally



The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset combined with a passion for luxury hospitality and experiential travel. You will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in business development or sales within luxury hospitality, MICE and/or DMC environments
  • Solid knowledge of the Mauritian tourism and corporate travel landscape
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior decision‑makers, C‑suite executives and key industry stakeholders
  • A creative and solution‑driven approach to developing unique, high‑value experiences
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills on complex, high‑value deals
  • Fluency in English and French, with any additional language considered a strong advantage
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, digital sales tools and virtual event platforms
