Job Description

  • Plans, controls and supervises departmental activities to ensure adequate coordination and operations implementation between the different departments of Rooms division according to Management directives in accordance with the Hotel policies, procedures and standards.
  • Define Rooms Standards and ensures quality in its department.
  • Develops new concepts of services and methods to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Sets the trend and acts as a role model to encourage change and innovation.
  • Regularly updates the Hotel Manager on all operations achievements and key issues.
  • Controls the departmental expenses budget and analyses & monitors departmental profitability on a regular basis.
  • Projects business opportunities and promotes sales of the various facilities and services of the hotel in order to increase revenue.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant statutory records, laws and administrative functions related to the department.
  • Liaises with the Hotel Manager & People & Culture Manager in matters relating to manpower planning, recruitment, selection, promotion, Performance Management and disciplinary procedure.
  • Promotes growth and career development of Artisans of the Rooms Division by supporting the Learning & Development team in identifying and defining appropriate training and development initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, with a focus on Rooms Division.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and systems.
