About Our Client

My client operates in the Insurance sector.

Job Description

▪ Implement the Reinsurance Management Framework and/or Reinsurance Guidelines devised together and agreed with Senior Management.

▪ Review, negotiate and place cross class Facultative and Treaty reinsurance across the Group.

▪ Investigate and motivate reinsurance opportunities, rate comparisons and profitability analysis.

▪ Prepare and review Management Reports. ▪ Identify and evaluate, as far as reinsurance activities are concerned, the risk to the Company's people, property, finances, goodwill, and image and implement measures to control risks.

▪ Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the Reinsurance department.

▪ Lead and implement operating processes and tools to efficiently manage the department.

▪ Participate actively in management committees, projects, and corporate events.

▪ Conduct official correspondence on behalf of the company as appropriate.

▪ Engage actively in the strategic planning process and in the strategy execution.

▪ Represent the Company at community activities to enhance the Company's profile.

▪ Create cross functional synergies to achieve business objectives.

▪ Create and nurture strong relationships within the business community.

▪ Prepare annual departmental budget according to guidelines and submit for approval within deadlines.

The Successful Applicant

▪ Post Graduate degree in Business Management.

▪ ACII or other Insurance Related Professional Qualification Desirable

▪ More than 5 years' experience in a similar position.

▪ Expert knowledge in the field of reinsurance and risk management.

▪ Superior analytical and quantitative skills. ▪ Strong understanding of global and regional business environments.

▪ Ability to coordinate activities among a variety of internal and external constituents.

▪ Proactive and action driven

▪ Strong Leadership

▪ Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and spoken

▪ Strong networking and relationship capabilities

▪ Excellent influencing and persuasion abilities
