In a context of strong growth, the company is looking for a Director or Vice-President to strengthen its management team, joining a dynamic and entrepreneurial firm offering a high level of exposure and progression opportunities within the M&A leader in francophone sub-Saharan Africa.

Key responsibilities

The Candidate will oversee the origination and execution of transactions ranging from €5 million to €150 million in value with the following full range of responsibilities in M&A Transactions:

  • Developing existing relationships and building new ones
  • Supports and generates business development and client service activities
  • Management and mentoring of analysts and associates
  • Leading client meetings and pitches; and providing strategic advice and proposals
  • Interact daily with client management teams to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
  • Making sure running projects are managed appropriately, with tasks delegated and reviewed where necessary
  • Review analysts and associates work models, valuations, marketing documentation,
  • Delegate and organise teamwork

Profil recherché

Minimum 8 years experience in a corporate finance position (investment bank, private equity, structured finance, transaction services…) with a significant international working experience.

  • Master's degree or equivalent in finance or management
  • Deal execution
  • Sound knowledge of M&A activities and the ability to apply skills creatively to diverse client needs
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
  • Excellent analytic and quantitative skills, as well as strong writing and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to master new tasks quickly
  • Written and oral proficiency in English
  • A critical thinker who can quickly evaluate and analyse companies and financial information
  • Business development skills
  • Ability to come up with innovative solutions to answer potential client needs
  • An interest or previous experience in African or emerging markets private equity or M&A industry
