Job Description



1. Omakase Culinary Mastery:
- Craft and present Omakase-style sushi dishes with precision and artistry.
- Showcase a deep understanding of traditional Japanese culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate innovative elements into Omakase offerings.

- Work on combinations which include pairings with Japanese Sake, Whisky and beer.

2. Menu Development:
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal and special Omakase menus.
- Ensure menu offerings are diverse, well-balanced, and aligned with the restaurant's vision.

3. Quality Control:
- Source and select the finest, freshest ingredients for sushi preparation.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Conduct regular tastings to ensure excellence and refine recipes as needed.

4. Customer Engagement:
- Engage with guests, explaining the Omakase experience and providing insights into each dish.
- Customise experiences based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.

5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate and streamline the flow of Omakase service.

1. Professional Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, with a focus on Omakase.
- Demonstrated expertise in traditional and contemporary Japanese culinary techniques.

2. Creativity and Innovation:
- Ability to create visually stunning and unique Omakase dishes.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative elements into the menu.

3. Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and collaborate with the culinary team.

4. Culinary Education:
- Formal culinary education with a focus on Japanese cuisine is preferred.

5. Adaptability:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing culinary trends.

6. Passion for Excellence:
- A deep passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience through Omakase.
