About Our Client
My client is an International Leader in technical product solutions for the Construction industry and is seeking to hire a Regional Sales Director - South Africa who will lead their sales and service organisation, to drive profitable growth.
- Lead and develop the organisation for growth
- Develop and grow local customer base and market share
- Develop long term and trusting relationships with representatives for key customer organisations to capture growth opportunities in major project business
- Develop the service business and efficiency with improved growth and profitability
- Actively lead and manage the South Africa team
- Deliver short growth and profits as well as developing and executing a business plan for long-term success
The Successful Applicant
Essential requirements in order to apply:
- Proven sales background with a track record of success
- Experience selling products (solutions) that are tailor-made for the construction space i.e. related to commercial property development in Hospitality, Government, Retail etc. (specifying knowledge will be a distinct advantage).
- Can develop sales opportunities and has a strong customer focus
- Exposure to managing small sales teams within a corporate environment (in the last 5 years)
- Hands-on-style and daily working
- Strong business orientation, drive and result focus
- Excellent relationship builder with proven negotiation skills
- Confident communicator with natural interpersonal skills
- Established financial understanding and interest
- Fluent in both verbal and written English
