Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

  • Drive Capital Sales growth of heat transfer and related thermal equipment across the region.
  • Execute divisional sales strategies and achieve agreed revenue and profitability targets.
  • Follow established sales processes to promote and sell products and services effectively.
  • Identify, develop, and convert leads into sustainable business opportunities to maintain a strong sales pipeline.



Market & Customer Management

  • Analyse market insights and customer buying behaviour to develop strategic sales plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and industry leaders.
  • Develop structured account strategies in collaboration with Business Unit and Division Managers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits (physical and virtual) to understand needs and communicate value-based solutions.



Commercial & Operational Excellence

  • Prepare competitive quotations aligned to customer requirements, highlighting unique value propositions.
  • Ensure consistent and effective use of CRM and sales management tools to support decision-making and pipeline management.
  • Manage proactive planning and customer account grids to optimise commercial operations.
  • Mentor and support the regional sales team to improve sales efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve.



Brand & Market Presence

  • Maintain a strong professional presence in the market as a technology advocate and thought leader.
  • Represent the organisation at conferences, seminars, webinars, and industry events.
  • Leverage digital platforms and professional networks to promote products and services.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Account Manager Capital Sales should have:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 5-10 years' experience in sales to Process Industries with a proven track record in sales and negotiation, including Key Account Management.
  • Alternatively, 10+ years of solid value-based selling experience within relevant industries.
  • Experience in Mining Cooling/Ventilation and/or HVAC is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Southern and East African markets with established industry relationships.
  • Customer-focused with a strong passion for sales.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and professionalism in client engagements.
  • Strong commercial acumen and value-based selling capability.
  • Well-developed networking and influencing skills.
  • Strong understanding of Key Account Management principles.
