About Our Client

Our client is a key player of the wireless communication industry. As part of its growth in East Africa, they are looking to recruit a Sales Manager Consultant for Kenya.

Job Description

Based in Nairobi on a consultancy scheme, you report to the General Manager for Africa and act as a key driver when it comes to business opportunities identification and development in Kenya.

In line with this role, you will be expected to fulfill the following assignments :

  • Elaborate a sales and go-to-market strategy together with an action plan for the commercialisation of residential and professional Broadband products in Kenya,
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis in order to reach and exceed the sales and revenue target with new and existing distributors in the country,
  • Develop and grow the sales pipeline, generate leads, define appropriate solution for current/future Distribution partner, negotiate and close deals,
  • Develop and grow the direct and indirect channels made of re-sellers and installers working closely with the distributors,
  • Identify new sales opportunities through alternative partners or Verticals market,
  • Support the distributors for all sales and marketing activities in coordination with related departments in the HQ,
  • Increase distributor's sales performance, analyse market behaviours and propose corrective actions when needed,
  • Build, develop and maintain relationship with the governmental authorities in charge of telecommunications and rural area development,
  • Collect and manage the distributor requirements and needs for improving the service offering but also proactively propose improvements for country adaptation.

The Successful Applicant

You are degree educated with a minimum of five years' experience in a similar position with reputable actors of the internet or wireless communication industry in Kenya. You have a strong experience in the management and development of business relations with carriers, wireless, VSAT and DTH operators in Kenya and a great understanding of the distribution landscape. Driven and multi-tasking with a start-up state of mind, you consider yourself as a hands-on individual who will always go the extra mile to develop a new business.
