Senior Management Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial reporting function for a portfolio of international entities, reviewing the work of finance team members, managing statutory reporting and audits, and acting as a key technical accounting resource within the department.

Description du poste

  • Review monthly management accounts prepared by junior team members.
  • Review trial balances and ensure financial information is complete and accurate.
  • Prepare and review consolidated reporting schedules.
  • Prepare complex IFRS financial statements.
  • Review tax computations and deferred tax calculations.
  • Lead statutory audits and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Resolve complex accounting issues and provide technical IFRS guidance.
  • Review journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules prepared by the finance team.
  • Monitor compliance with Group accounting policies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Perform financial analysis and present findings to senior management.
  • Assist with acquisitions, restructurings and special finance projects where required.
  • Mentor, coach and develop junior finance staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
  • Support the Head of Shared Services and Finance Director on strategic finance initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Profil recherché

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

  • Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
  • Minimum 7-10 years' progressive finance experience
  • Minimum 3-4 years' external audit experience (Big 4 or recognised audit firm preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years' commercial finance or management accounting experience
  • Experience managing audits independently
  • Experience supervising or leading finance teams
  • Experience working within multinational groups is highly desirable
  • Strong exposure to IFRS and statutory reporting



Technical Skills

  • Expert knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Experience reviewing statutory financial statements
  • Experience reviewing tax computations
