Job Description
- Propose and implement preventive measures to safeguard the sanitary status of all LFL farmers.
- Prepare and execute annual farm visit and audit programs to assess flock health and biosecurity standards.
- Develop comprehensive reports on biosecurity, health, hygiene, and farm audit outcomes, including recommendations for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and monitor vaccination programs, assessing their effectiveness and compliance.
- Diagnose flock health issues, prescribe treatments, and ensure successful follow-up and recovery.
- Monitor developments and innovations in veterinary medicine and recommend continuous improvements.
- Work closely with the Division of Veterinary Services and internal stakeholders to deliver effective health solutions.
- Provide veterinary support and respond to emergency situations affecting customer farms, including outside normal working hours.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Veterinary should have:
- Bachelor in Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Up to date with new scientific developments in veterinary medicine.
- Passionate about animal health and welfare.
- Strong communication and diagnostic skills.
- Proactive with sound decision-making abilities.
- Well organised, reliable, and team-oriented.
- Flexible to work weekends, shifts, or after normal working hours when required.
