Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial & Investment Oversight
  • Administrator Liaison & Review: Act as the primary point of contact for the company's administrator, conducting detailed reviews of financial reports and regulatory filings prepared by them.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Actively monitor the two portfolio investments and prepare comprehensive performance reporting for the Board of Directors.
  • Advisory Coordination: Support the board in evaluating investment advice and ensure the commercial rationale for every investment or divestment is appropriately documented.
  1. Operational Control
  • Independent Office Management: Manage day-to-day operations from the company's office in Mauritius.
  • Record Keeping: Liaise frequently with the administrator to facilitate the transfer and maintenance of all statutory, accounting, and corporate records at the company's independent office premises.
  • Corporate Communication: Manage all official corporate correspondence, ensuring a seamless flow of information between the board, the administrator, and other stakeholders.
  1. Governance & Board Support
  • Board Reporting: Report directly to the Board of Directors and provide internal review notes on all drafts submitted by the administrator.
  • Meeting Preparation: Assist with the preparation of agendas and "Board Packs" for all Board meetings, ensuring all strategic deliberations are supported.
  1. Compliance & Tax Administration
  • Tax Filing Support: Coordinate with the administrator to assist Mauritius-resident directors in undertaking necessary tax filings and maintaining regulatory licenses.
  • Documentation: Assistance in maintenance of robust documentation for any corporate actions taken by the company

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance & Investment Analyst should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of market trends within the business services industry.
  • An ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must have strong background in financial analysis, portfolio monitoring, and Mauritius GBC regulatory requirements.
