Job Description

The Millwright (Artisan) will be responsible for the following:

Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Must Perform Gap analysis
Must have a certification to prove that they are Millwright and has a verified reference
Must have managed a team
Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Collaborate with the Engineering & Manufacturing team to optimise machine performance.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members when required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Millwright (Artisan) should have:

Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Must be based in Johannesburg
Experience in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector, particularly within Engineering & Manufacturing.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment for machinery maintenance and repairs.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
A proactive approach to ensuring machinery efficiency and operational safety.
