Job Description
The SHEQ Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards.
- Lead investigations into incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on SHEQ standards and best practices.
- Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics to senior management.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement in SHEQ practices.
- Ensure all documentation and records are up to date and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Stay informed of changes in legislation and industry standards relevant to the role.
The Successful Applicant
A successful SHEQ Manager should have:
- A strong understanding of safety, health, environment, and quality standards within the industrial and manufacturing and production sectors.
- MUst be willing to travel in Johannesburg area
- manufacturing background
- Proven experience in developing and implementing SHEQ policies and procedures.
- Experience with ISO9001
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and train teams.
- Competence in conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Relevant qualifications in SHEQ management or a related field.
- Ability to stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance.
