About Our Client

Job Description
- Use your existing network in the copper industry (mines, smelters, commodity trading desks) to win new warehouse storage and handling contracts.
- Actively prospect and cold-contact copper traders and manufacturers to bring physical copper inventory into our facility.
- Act as the primary relationship owner for key copper accounts, driving retention and expansion of their warehousing footprint.
- Identify and close opportunities for copper-specific value-added services (sampling, weighing, quality inspection, re-bagging/strapping, LME warrant preparation).
- Negotiate storage rates, handling fees, and logistics terms with copper clients to maximise profitability while remaining competitive.
- Position the facility as the preferred warehouse partner for regional copper shipments.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure copper (cathodes, rods, scrap, blister) is stored per industry best practices (weight verification, grade segregation, correct stacking).
- Monitor client inventory levels and proactively notify clients to replenish or rotate stock to maintain steady business flow.
- Work with logistics teams to coordinate inbound and outbound copper shipments, minimising demurrage and detention costs.
- Monitor copper market trends, LME prices, and global supply/demand dynamics to provide strategic advice to clients on storing or moving material.
- Leverage market intelligence to forecast warehouse occupancy and adapt sales strategies to maintain high utilisation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate warehousing and service agreements for copper commodities, ensuring compliance with LME regulations (where applicable) and insurance requirements.
- Verify that received copper meets quality and weight specifications, and manage claims or disputes with clients professionally.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Warehouse Sales Manager should have:
- Essential: 5-7+ years of direct experience in the copper or non-ferrous metals industry in a sales, trading, or commercial role.
- Proven, verifiable network of copper clients (traders, manufacturers, or scrap suppliers) ready to be engaged for immediate warehouse business.
- Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding revenue or sales targets within metal warehousing or physical commodities.
- Deep understanding of copper grades (e.g., Grade A cathodes, fire-refined copper, scrap classifications) and the physical supply chain requirements for handling these materials.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret LME rules and warehouse delivery protocols.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and commodity trading platforms.
- Willingness to travel regularly to client sites, ports, and industry conferences to maintain and grow face-to-face relationships.
