Job Description

Sales Strategy and Monitoring

  • Assist the General Manager in the preparation of strategic and operational plans as approved by the Board of Directors and ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Work closely with the Chief Financial and Operations Officer to set monthly, quarterly and yearly sales budget for each brand represented for the region in the Business Unit (BU).
  • Identify potential markets for the company's brands and products.
  • Evaluate the development of new brands and products and develop business cases that are value-added and sustainable.
  • Drive new business development by pursuing lead generation, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Expand the company's customer base and increase its market share across the region.
  • Prepare and present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to management team as and when required.



Sales and Marketing Management

  • Develop and implement high-impact marketing strategies and activities to boost and grow sales revenue and profit.
  • Manage the channel market development fund and sales incentive programmes and measure their respective ROI.
  • Keep up to date with major global emerging trends, innovative technologies, products and promising companies (vendors).
  • Prepare travel and marketing budgets for the BU.
  • Ensure that the sales team order products that suit the market.



People Management

  • Manage effectively and efficiently the sales team to achieve sales and revenue targets and ensure that the BU's profitability target is achieved.
  • Oversee activities and set individual sales targets for the sales team of the BU across the region.
  • Regularly track overall performance of sales team and take necessary actions to ensure a high performing team.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources representative to perform performance appraisal on a regular basis to assess the sales team performance and create a training and development plan accordingly.
  • Meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets of the BU by keeping the sales team competitive and innovative.
  • Foster and sustain a working environment that stimulates employee engagement and supports the company's culture and values.



Service and Relationship Management

  • Foster good commercial relationship with suppliers/vendors to ensure that they provide needed products and services.
  • Work and negotiate with vendors on special deals and tenders.
  • Review regularly the value proposition of the company to ensure that it is still relevant for the different channel partners.
  • Ensure regular onsite visits of customers of the BU.
  • Develop and maintain strong and last-longing relationship with existing and new customers of the BU.



Operational Efficiency

  • Implement a regular monitoring system with smart KPIs and targets for individual and organisational performance.
  • Ensure effective management of the company's recovery & clearance scheme and commercial policies to avoid bad debts.
  • Manage continuous improvement and lean programs to increase efficiency and reduce no value-added activities.
  • Stock management - Ensure commercial initiatives reduce long-term stock and write-offs are well managed.



The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Prior experience in selling IT products to large accounts would constitute an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good understanding of commercial opportunities and challenges with dealers and corporate resellers, with a preference for software integrators, local distributors and resellers involved in IT products and services.
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiating skills, with the ability to build rapport and sustainable relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse market dynamics, adapt quickly to changing environments, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent command of English and French, both verbal and written.
